AKYAT

{climb}

akyat.

I am enamored by the wonders of God's creations and find great joy, peace, tranquility, and spirituality as I spend time in nature. Most often, my greatest experiences come when I am ascending to the top of a mountain or other high place. rarely are these trips without great effort, but always has the climb been worth it to me.

In my youth, I was called and assigned to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I was assigned to labor in the Philippines Olongapo Mission for 2 years, where I learned to love the Gospel and the Filipino people. The work Akyat is the Filipino word for "climb", and reminds me of my love for the Gospel, the Filipino people, and my passion for adventure and reaching higher places.

Like everything that matters to me in life. My love for all of these things required work. Love for God and Christ required dedicated study and prayer, and faith to endure times of doubt, as well as sacrifice to do the works of God. Love for the people of the Philipines and all people, required(s) service and selfless sacrifice. Love and deep appreciation for the outdoors demanded time, energy, dedication, and sacrifice to make the climbs.

And He said to them, “Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?”
